2026 Competition Summary

The Undergraduate Research (URI) common Application received 588 total applications. There were 237 total offers through the various funding streams (40% overall). Of the 237 offers, 81 were for Alberta Innovates SRS, 40 were for URI Stipend, and 116 were from other sources (e.g. FoMD, Surgery, CRINA, ADI, etc.)

• URI Stipend: In 2025, we received 212 applications and funded 43 projects (20% success rate)
• Alberta Innovates Summer Research Studentship: In 2025, we received 311 applications and funded 82 projects (26% success rate)
