Celebration of Service
The University of Alberta believes our staff members are one of our most valuable assets. Our commitment to excellence is realized through contributions of loyal individuals whose long service plays an invaluable role in the university's growth, development and successes. The university is committed to acknowledging such dedication towards advancing teaching, learning and community service.
Celebration of Service honourees will be automatically identified annually by HRHSE based on their service to the university.
Eligibility
Those eligible for recognition include all University of Alberta faculty and staff members who have service reflecting 25, 30, 35, 40, 45, or 50 years of service within the calendar year at 5 year increments. The individuals are publicly recognized at the Celebration of Service, a formal event and reception held each spring.
Award Process
Recipients invited to the celebration will receive information on the selection of gifts available for their milestone. Recipients will receive the ordering information via email prior to the ceremony. A deadline for ordering will be articulated and following that deadline, recipients can expect a wait period of approximately 6 weeks (excluding holiday closures). Once the gifts arrive, recipients will be contacted and asked to collect their gift.

To receive and view the brochure corresponding to your years of service:

- Choose the gift you wish to order
- Complete your order by accessing the order form link in your email invitation to the Celebration of Service event
