The university works closely with Alberta’s public health experts and authorities in monitoring community health risks.

Influenza

Appointments for flu shots are available to U of A community members on North Campus at the University Health Centre and at the University Health Centre Pharmacy in the Students’ Union Building (SUB).

Measles

Measles are extremely contagious and spreads easily through the air. The best protection against measles is to ensure you are up to date with your immunizations.

Mpox

Mpox is a virus that can be easily passed from person to person through direct or close contact or direct contact with contaminated materials, animals or animal products.

Substance Abuse

We prioritize substance use awareness and prevention to promote the well-being of all members of our community.
