Meet with a writing tutor at Augustana

The Augustana Writing Centre offers in-person or online consultations with a writing tutor on assignments. Assignments can be any kind of writing at any stage, from idea to draft, such as an essay, lab report, employment cover letter, short story, or just a blank pad of paper with room to write.

Service Offerings

  • In-person sessions in the Writing Centre (30 minutes)
  • Synchronous online sessions (30 minutes)

How to Access

1. Email augwrite@ualberta.ca requesting help with an assignment. You may attach a draft of your assignment as a Google Doc or a Microsoft Word document.
2. The Writing Centre will contact you with a link to a Calendly site where you can schedule an appointment with a tutor.
3. Meet your tutor at the scheduled time.

Hours of Operation
Each tutor sets their own hours.

What to Expect

Tutors will work with students to offer feedback in the form of suggestions, comments, and encouragement to help students develop their writing skills, but will not provide editorial services or proofread directly.
