Report a safety & security incident

Report non-emergency safety & security incidents to U of A Protective Services. Emergencies are defined as life-threatening incidents requiring immediate police, fire, or ambulance response. Situations that do not pose an immediate threat, such as reporting past property damage or noise complaints, would be considered non-emergencies.

How to Access

  • For emergencies, call 911, then call UAPS (780-492-5050).
  • For crimes in progress on campus, call UAPS.
  • To report non-emergency safety & security incidents, call UAPS or visit the office in person at the Education Car Park (North Campus).

What to Expect

  • Each report is assessed and assigned to a member for documentation and/or investigation, if warranted. A file number will be provided to you for your records.
  • If additional reporting is required (whether to other university teams or to other police), UAPS will let you know.
