Wellness Supports workshops
The Wellness Supports team offers free mental health and wellness workshops designed to transform the ability of students, staff and faculty to support themselves and others. In addition, the team is also available to provide consultations to increase awareness of on-/off-campus resources, enhance support strategies and strengthen supporters' confidence.
• Community Helpers (3-day program)
• How to Have a Supportive Conversation (3 hours)
• Suicide Prevention (2-hour Question, Persuade, Refer certification)

A team member will respond to a request for a workshop within two business days.

What to Expect
Participants can expect professional, trauma-informed facilitation; clear guidance on helping skills; timely consultation support; and accurate referrals to appropriate campus and community resources.A team member will respond to a request for a workshop within two business days.

- Minimum of 10 participants required for group training
- Presentation request must be submitted in advance
- Consultation supports helpers, not therapy recipients
- Not a replacement for counselling or crisis services
