Women in Scholarship, Engineering, Science + Technology (WISEST)
Women in Scholarship, Engineering, Science & Technology (WISEST) is a University of Alberta-based organization focused on increasing participation of women and gender-diverse individuals in science, engineering, and technology. WISEST delivers outreach programs for Grade 6 and high school students, including the Choices Conference and SET Conference, as well as paid undergraduate research opportunities through the Summer Research Program. WISEST also supports undergraduate, graduate, and early-career participants through its UA-WiSE and WiSER networks. Additional offerings include volunteer opportunities and community engagement initiatives that promote awareness of STEM education and career pathways.
