Share your trainees' success stories!
Another great way to encourage students to participate in undergraduate research is to showcase the excellent work that other students are involved in! Do you have an undergraduate research success story, publication, or other achievement that you think the U of A community should know about? URI is always looking for stories to highlight in our newsletter and other channels.
Mentoring resources
Mentorship is a defining characteristic of undergraduate research, and mentors play a crucial role in supporting students’ intellectual, personal/emotional and professional development. Mentorship models for undergraduate research vary across disciplines and research contexts, and may involve one or more relationships between the undergraduate student and their faculty, peer, or near-peer (e.g. graduate student) mentor(s).
